In-Cabin filter replacement DIY write-up?

Have a coupe and even though I have several air fresheners the air feels stale with our Texas 100 degree weather. Went out and oredered a new in-cabin microfilter. Looked up for replacement instructions in our manual and, no dice. Please feel free to jump in if anyone has an actual DIY write-up. Thanks.

OK embed won't work:

It's a sedan but the procedure is the same.

Thank you so much, I'll try the procedure tomorrow morning. I only have 11k on my car, is it to soon to change it?

if your car is a 2004 model.. It's time..

I just changed mine for the 3rd time (2003/78k)
The smell was greatly reduced, but a hint of it is still there..
maybe for the next change, I'll go for the charcoal...

Don't unplug the yellow plug. I remember reading someone did that and their airbag light went off. It's the one that's on the far left.

If your car isn't smelling as fresh as it should, go ahead and replace it since it's a cheap/easy potential fix.

I live in a high pollen area, so I'll probably change mine every 24 months or less for the duration of ownership.

2K4 is only my handle. I've had it for five years. My car is a 2K6 coupe, roughly two years old. I think I'll still change it though.
