Help-Momo Shift **** install gone bad
Newbie here- I just tried to install the automatic momo shift ****, I got it on the gear lever tested it out, and turned the car off. The problem is I couldn't remove the key! I saw someone else had this problem. I removed the momo shift and the key came out. I also think the black cap that goes on the gear lever isn't meant for the g35 set up. The black cap is now stuck in the momo shift ****. This sucks. Anyone install the momo shift **** on a sedan? Any help would be appreciated

I had the same problem before too. Read their instruction and stuck the rubber cap onto the lever. And got stuck. Use a small flat head screw driver and try to force it out. (It's ok to scratch the inside, no one will know).
As for the key issue. I am not sure on that.
Hope this helps

Re: Help-Momo Shift **** install gone bad
i got the momo shift **** and i had the same problem. the lever is not bieng depressed all the way and that is why the key wont come out. here is what i did. if you remove the ****, you'll notice that there is like a plastic nylon extender. remove that. that will expose a metal rod. you wanna cap the end of that or it's gonna feel crappy and not so smooth when you press the button to change gears. i used the end of a pen cap (the little nubb on the end of the pen, not the cap) it fits perfect and keeps it from being metal on metal whens changing gears. this will also allow the shift **** to be be attatched lower on the shaft. the other thing is that you wanna leave about an 8th to a quarter inch gap between the actual rod and the button on the shifter. this gives a little bit of extra clearance so that you wont have that key locking issue. i hope this helps, actually after reading this i hope it makes sense!! it sounds like some really bad stereo instructions! good luck

Jays_G > What did you do? Take a pen apart for the nubb sections? Interesting method non the less.
I have the Razo **** and I ran into the same problem. It IS because the lever is not fully pressed down when shifting in and out of PARK. I took my **** off for the winter because it was just too freakin cold to hold while driving. It's probably gonna be burning hot in the summer too. Da well, anything for looks i guess. haha!!
