Modern auto leather just doesn't feel right. It's very thin, backed with fabric and that takes away the rich feel to me. I would love to take mine to the King Ranch Saddle Shop in Kingsville Texas and have the whole thing redone. I would have to remortgage my house however....

Here is a guide I used when I got my first car that had leather in it. If you keep up with cleanings, etc you can keep the leather in pretty good shape.

Can you order new leather from Nissan? If so, how much for say, the driver seat leathers? Maybe you warranty guys would have an idea?

6.5 years on my G sedan and it still looks new and feels great. I use Zaino leather conditioner frequently.

I'll bet you could have them custom covered for less than OEM.

I have a 2005 G coupe. Car is 3 yrs old with 36000 miles. And my driver side seat is also cracking. The only thing holding it is the cloth. Over time that cloth will cut too after rubbing against that metal piece.

Looking at the picture, you think the damage is serious enough for the dealer to replace it?

G35757, that makes me want to cry, or throw up, or, maybe, both.
