On mine, I don't have any problem with it like you do.
I do think it'd look better w/o the line though.

I was thinking about putting mine in a lathe & turn that line out of it.

..does look nice though.
It does look nice... but with it's hefty weight and it's giant ball shape that fills my palm very nicely, and an almost perfect curve towards the bottom to hook fingers around, this thing really has been the most comfortable shift **** I've ever owned on any of my cars... It's really almost like a lower sitting stock shift **** but feels 10X better. I was looking for my comparison pics, but I think I might have deleted them on accident...

But then again, it is all personal preference...

Are you talking about the ARC ball one? I am looking into the cylinder one, I'm not a fan of that ball one.
