Questoin about Carbon fiber cloth

When you apply this stuff do you use some kind of adhesive? Also once on, do you just leave the cloth exposed or do you clear coat it? How does it fare against everyday wear and tear? Cleaning it? Stains?

Also how hard is it to install?

3M adhesive at the back, then some might clear it to get a bit of shinyness, some might not. Up to personal preference. Since the cloth usually goes on the door pull, its gonna get rubbed often. It is going to get dirty and stains might get on it. By that time, you might as well replace the cloth.

No way, you need resin and you lay it up on top and bottom. I use surfboard resin. Its nice thick and clear that makes it look like impregnated cf. Sand it down with a high grit 2000+ and spray it with 1 hour clear with UV. Make sure to smooth it out but not too much or you may start unraveling the weave if your using 1x1. I bought a sheet of 3x3 to experiment with a new look.

Depends on which material you get. There is the cloth that needs spray adhesive in order for it to stick. I have alot of it sitting around. THe 3M stuff already has the adhesive backing on it so all you need it a heat gun and apply away. There is no need to clear coat of spray anything over the 3M as it has an 8 year warranty from #M. It is made for the exterior so anything that you might get on it on the inside will be no problem.
