I've been dying to do this.. With all the right pieces it WILL work. It has to..

Only thing is that once you replace the center console you will need to replace your dash with an 05+ dash too.. You should be able to keep your stock AC vents and all.. Then after that get an 05 speedo..

 

if you replace the entire dash yeah....but if you do just the console....it wont fit.

I've had this discussion with a friend whose got the 05 coupe.. His interior just looks so amazing to me. I really want an 05 interior.

 

Its been done before and i looked for pics but couldnt find them either.. I bought the 06 shifter bezel for my 04 but decided not to go through it.. From what i got out of it the shifter bezel will screw into the 03 screw holes and you will be left with a gap.. Take the piece to a bodyshop and fill in the gaps with bodyfiller and paint.. but what sucks is you have to try and match the console to the rest of the interior.. good luck i might try to tackle it again sometime down the road..

 

^ I would paint it black to match my interior or have the whole console repainted the same silver color.. BUT you'll lose that brushed aluminum look the 05's have.

 

You dont have to replace your whole console or dash.. Its not that complicated..

 

Thats why i didnt go through with it i wanted the brushed look.. If i do do it im gonna take all the brushed out and paint it a hott silver color.. Got more important mods to concentrate on right now..

Frankie, are you talking about the center console piece that goes up too? Like replacing the stereo and AC to 05 as well? This is what I want to do... Then get an 05-07 JDM double din.

 

I was just talking about the shifter bezel.. The whole console would be a bigger project.. U would prolly have to change everything including the connectors.. I don't know if it's worth it.. But if you have the time money and drive then go for it.. I'd like to see it done for sure..
