Armrest marks (peeling)

Has anyone had issues with scratches on the armrest. It is like a black rubberized material and I have 3 or 4 minor scratches. Tried fixing it with a permanent marker but that didn't last. Anyone else try anything else for this that works. Cheers.

Yes! On my G35S. I came here just to look and see if anyone else was having the same issue and how much a replacement was (seriously!)

Glad to hear someone out there shares my problem - as minor as it is. I think the previous owner either has long fingernails or lots of jewelery. My shifter **** is also badly scratched (damn careless people).

I still haven't come up with a solution better than permanent marker which seems to last about a month. If I come up with something better I will be sure to let you know. Hopefully someone else responds to our post.

Hows the weather in Cali these days? My cousin is a real estate agent down in LA and I hope to get out there one day to visit her. I've never been but I hear nothing but positive comments about your state.

Man, this is getting a little freaky. Same thing here with the shifter too. Now I'm curious how many other people have had this issue! I do not have long nails (hehe) and for the life of me I can't figure out what I've done that could have caused it other than resting my arms on it.

Weather in the Bay Area today was actually rainy (it's been a wet year), but we'll be at 65-75 for a good 8 months after this! Southern California is probably 75 and beautiful though

I was actually looking at taking week in SanFran in March this year but for some reason opted for one of those all inclusives in Mexico (Mayan Riviera) yet again. Don't get me wrong I had fun but after multiple years of these trips I am getting a little bored of them - maybe next year I'll make the trip to SanFran. Someone mentioned tht march is actually not the best time. What would typically be the best month for both weather and stuff to do if I was to take a trip to SanFran. By the way if you ever do go to the Mayan Riviera I recommend the Bahia Principa Coba. Beautiful place. Some guy on here was selling an original equipment shifter **** but by the time I found out it was already sold.

I'd say probably June or July would be perfect, but the weather remains mild until basically mid-October into November depending.
