ok so ill update i got an AT 07 oem **** and its not plug and play.
it fits without the white part that pushes the metal rod down and does sit snug, the only problem is the button on the **** doesnt push. so im gonna search and ask around to see what i can come up with. when all is said and dont if i cant do anything im gonna take the white extension piece from a 2007 and see if when i put it on a metal rod of an 03 (my cars year) it creates better fitting and function to the button . so all in all it fits but doesnt work and im still trying to figure it out ive searched driver for about 5 hours aswell as G35 NYC and am waiting for people to answer my questions
