Hey guys,
My drivers seat won't move back and forth. The left side is trying and ends up rotating the chair because the right track won't remove. I read another thread, and took off the gear. The gear is chipped and needs to be replaced, however I never heard any clicking. They said it would click if it was just the gear, and if it doesn't its a motor problem. I checked the back and forth switch and the motor with that, it works. ( I assume that's the motor that moves it, unless there is a secondary motor). It used to click in the beginning but then it stopped. I am just double checking if I should buy the gear and replace it or I am going to end up paying the dealer $1000.
In regards to the gear, anyone know which gear is for 2004 Infiniti G35 AWD Sedan. Website is odometer gears.

Mine has went out twice, I said fawk it and left it alone. I just got a rubber mallet and a screw driver and beat it until I got it to where I was comfortable.

^Look at the link closer, it will tell you which one you need.
Or you could just pull the gear and see which on it is. Shouldn't take long, it's easy to get to.

Hey guys,
My problem is I cant get the stupid nut off which is holding the gear. I been using a wrench but it rotates the whole thing, I am struggling.

I have done this.
It really wasn't very difficult at all. it didn't take so long. I did have a slight problem getting it to fit just right at first. I think it was a snug fit. I think I might have texted or emailed them and they were very responsive. I was afraid I would break it putting it in. They promised to send me another if it broke. I think with the extra time, it was like 40 minutes. It should have been about 15 minutes.
I believe the only difference with the gears is that you buy the one with the magnetic collar if you have memory seats (I do).
It worked great and saved me a ton of cash.
