Noisy Heater Fan

Over the past few weeks, here in NC we have had some cold weather. Everytime I turn the heater on, the fan makes an awful squealing noise.it usually lasts for about 15-20 seconds, then it stops. I am just wondering if anyone has any idea of what the noise might be. A squeaky belt? etc..

Is it coming from just behind the glove box? You could try taking the fan out and lubricating up where it rotates about. Theres some screws directly under the dash on the passenger you can take out and the blower fan drops down.
