Refinish or replace? Door pulls on 03 sport
Merry Christmas y'all.
I picked up an 03 Sedan a couple days ago and so far I love it. That said, it's got some wear here and there, including the pulls on both front doors. It seems the silvery finish has rubbed off, and I was wondering if this is common, and what the best fix for it is. I'm pretty familiar with all kinds of work on cars, so if it takes a home made solution, I can probably handle it. If it's a commonly replaced part, what do you think would be my best source? Classifieds/dealer/something else?
I swear I searched, so if this is a bonehead question I apologize in advance. To make up for it, here's an off-topic pic of my other car, since it's my first post and all...

Thanks!

I figured I wasn't the only one. I can see how an overlay would be a good, simple solution. I've been looking, and I see plenty of woodgrain, but I haven't found anything that's similar to the stock silver/aluminum/whatever it's supposed to look like. I like the stock finish just fine, as long as it isn't worn off, that is.
Thanks for the feedback so far.
I did bump into this thread, so it shows me how utterly simple it is to paint them. (in case anybody finds this thread in the future)

Well that was easy.
Just took fingernails to pop it off. Sanded, degreased, and shot with some rattle can matte silver. Time will tell how durable it is, but being this easy I just don't think it's that big of a deal to do again.
Sorry for the crappy cell pic:

It's a brighter finish than before, but I like it and don't think the contrast to the door handle is bad. I'll probably do this to my center console too, since it's got some rough spots.
Side note, but I also did the Meguires PlastX treatment on the headlights and that worked like a charm. They even have a pic of a G35 headlight on the back of the box, lol.
