Can anyone confirm that the steering wheel column of the 06+ coupe are different than the 03-05?

I'm having some gauges put in and I got an e-pod as my mounting solution. I dropped everything off at the shop and when I got home, my mechanic called and said I have the 03-04 e-pod and it won't fit on my 07. I dug around online and only found one version of the e-pod. Which leads me to question, are the steering wheel columns different?
