I need input from the more experienced folks here...I have an 07 G (sedan) which we all know uses the push button shift *****. I have a shift **** with NO button I want to use. Getting the old shift **** off is a no brainer and I read in other threads where some are using shift ***** with no button and just pushing down on the shift to switch gears...

BUT (the issue)...the shift won't shift back to PARK without the factory shift ****.
I also modified the shift boot (taking off the shift ring), so I'm about ready to pop that back off to see if it's a matter of me pushing far enough.

Anyone else try using a shift **** with no push button and experience the same thing? I really want to use this shift **** if I can.
