Rattle from auto tilt away steering feature
I hate dumb starter threads but I need some help fellas
For the life of me I cannot find a DIY or thread about the problem on my wifes 05 G sedan.
Perhaps Im using the wrong key words lol
Just alot of compression rod and P/S rack issues.
She has a rattle coming from the steering column / instrument cluster area that occurs after turning off the car . It corresponds with the auto tilt away steering wheel feature.
Sounds like a dry , loose , worn out worm gear of some sort.
Any insight ? I know Im not the only one.

nah , no dice ? Nothing ? wheres the love ...
....so no ones heard of the rattle/grinding noise that comes from the telescopic steering as it retracts away after turning the car off?
