I swapped out OEM radio for a double din unit. I purchased the new double din panel (not the metra) and I purchased the A/C controller unit which you're supposed to buy if you're upgrading to a double din.

Now the problem is that everything works except the temperature. I purchased the A/C Unit with the rotating temperature **** and as it turns out, it will not function on 03/04 G's and now I'm having a serious issue finding a double din A/C unit that has the temperature buttons instead of the ****.

Is there anyway I can keep the **** version and get it to work on my car? Or am I out of luck and have to find the 03/04 version?
