Help!! Install shift **** from killjulez on an 06 g35

I cant seem to find the right height so it wont give me the ignition problem.
And when i screw the **** on, the whole **** still moves around.
Need help please! Any ideas you have is appreciated.

Put the parking brakes on...then put the transmission on neutral...then install the shiftknob...see if that works for u
