Dead window motor

Hi all,

Anyone with a dead window motor? Yes, dead...
My passenger side doesn't go up/down and I'm looking for one to experiment with.
Surely someone has replaced theirs?

thanks
Brad

not in any rush to have the passenger side window moving.....keeping expenses down and save for priorities like maintenance/petrol/tuition etc + explore an easy fix which might help others

I still have my old ones if you still need them. The passenger side is dead, and the driver side still works but is slow to wind the window up. How $30 shipped for both?

Bumping this thread back up... two and a half years later and now my driver side has experienced the same failure mode.

It's a pretty easy fix. Pop out old gear, pop in new one.
I'm just surprised that most people are experiencing a dead motor (due to brushes) while I am getting this plastic gear breaking. Mine are probably some aftermarket replacements.

Coupe 6MT Premium RAS
Clean out the window guide, probably some gunk creating resistance that's putting extra strain on the motor.
