Almost two and a half years after the last check-in, still no tear!

 

Hope your seat is still holding up well. I'm getting my seat bottom rip repaired, and will trim the plastic finisher while the seat bottom is removed. 7 years after the original post lol....

 

I thought I had photos in this thread, but obviously not. The "microtears" are slowly advancing, but the seat is not ripped. Here's how she sits today (horrifying closeup makes it look worse than it is!).

 

That's actually not bad at all, and the cushion inside looks to be holding up well, too. I don't have the before photo but I know it's advancing a lot faster, and the bolster cushion inside was torn too, so I'm getting them repaired altogether. You might want to consider to get the tears patched up while it's still small, and also get the TSB done to the passenger side as well.

Got the passenger side done, I had the small tear and cushion foam repaired too, here are the results. The driver side seat bottom is still in the shop, I will do the TSB when I get it back from the shop.
