Anyone fix their flashing airbag light by replacing the seats?

My driver's seat has a small tear in it. Might just go ahead and replace it once I find one in better shape than mine. And I'm considering grabbing the passenger seat since either the airbag module in it is bad or the connections are.

Anyone change seats and either have that fix the airbag light...or cause it to flash after swapping seats?

Its a easy fix to reset turn the key to acc
Once the airbag light goes off turn the key off
Repeat 3 times
Then turn the car on

I was thinking of a more permanent fix than a reset...

I fixed my passenger airbag light issue by wrapping zip ties around the connector. There's a TSB for the issue and the fix involves removing and replacing the connector, however the 2003 and maybe 2004 sedan wasn't included. The zip tie trick has worked for me for over a year now.
