Brackets are different, not a bolt-on replacement, maybe it was the wiring that was different... something was different.

Ok thanks! So just to clarify.... my seat will only move forward to a certain point and it gets stuck and starts moving to the side. I took the seat apart and the track/rails are jammed up. Somebody is selling g35 coupe driver seat, I wouldn’t be able to use that seat at all?

The track is a separate piece than the seat itself, if it were mine I would take the track off of the seat, take the motor off the track and work the two slide mechanisms by hand with a 10mm wrench and find out exactly what the problem is. Might just be a coin or something wedged into one side that's jamming it up. Might be a broken piece inside the motor transfer bracket thing.

Yeah I did just that. I took off the chair thinking there was a coin or something jammed in there but it wasn’t. There’s like 2 plastic guides on either side in the track & these guides have a little ball beating at each end which did break & jam up but I took them out, put it all back together where it seemed to work fine or better I should say but once I bolted it down, no go ! It wouldn’t move forward, backward, nothing.
But I found someone selling a drivers chair from a coupe and I’m trying to figure out if I can use that rail & put my chair on it. If it will fit ? What about the motors ? Idk if the coupe has heated seats, mine does,
I don’t wanna waste the $$ AND worse, the time taking that thing out only to not have it fit you know ? Thank you tho for any help

Did a little more research and the wiring harnesses are different, the coupe has a controller built into the seat while the sedan has a controller built into the car, the SRS harness is different as well. If you want to rewire everything it would work but personally I'd just hold out for the correct seat.

I’m an avid eBay & amazon shopper and have been searching for a few weeks but no rails yet. Just either top cushion, bottom cushion, gears, **** like that. I wouldn’t mind the whole seat so I can fix some leather worn out up top but I only really need the rails & switch mine out.
