Pedals Before n After

The pedal kit arrived today. Ordered from Grubbs, $95. Arrived quick, 3 business days. What a PAIN to install.

Pics before and after.

Here are the part numbers for everthing you need for the 6 spd manual & My take on the install:
I suspect you could order these parts from a Nissan dealer for less than the $95 for the kit from Grubbs.

Dead pedal: 67840 - CD011
(simple, pull out the old one, screw in the new one)

Accelerator: 18016 - AB010
Bushing: 18014 - 8H601
Bushing: 18014 - AB000
(be careful not to bend or damage the arm when your taking the old one off) Kendude's post has some good pictures and info on this. I also had to use pliers to pop the retaining clip on.

Clutch/ Brake:
46531 - AB000 (2 qty, same part for each, pedals are identical)
(hardest part, you will need to soak in HOT water to get these on, very tight fitting... put the corner on that is most obstructed by the arm first.. you can get 2 corners on with your hands.... for the last 2 your will need a short, small flathead to pry the corner out and pop it/work it on.

Bottom line: not a bad lil improvement even at 95 bucks.

6MT, red/willow, premium, aero (and now alum pedal kit!)

Not much difference in feel or height, which is good. They do seem a little more grippie.

There is a diff.. wait till it rains and see how many times you notice your foot slipping off the clutch or brake.. only when its wet and it doesnt happen that much but it does happen.. I realy dont care they look sooooo much better im just worried about racing someone dont want to slip

Re: Pedals Before n After

Its been raining since i put em in and i havent noticed any slippage at all. Seems far superior to the old ones in that respect. Of course, I haven't actually raced anyone in the rain, and doubt i ever will.

Regardless the look is really much improved, you dont realize how bad the rubber ones look until you put in the alum! Its a very nice touch to the car.

Re: Pedals Before n After

Just got my Pedals from Gubbs today, took about an hour to put in. Gas pedal was a little difficult due to the tight space, but my wife's cosmetic mirror really did the trick !!!.....and now for the CAI....Later Guys.

Re: Pedals Before n After

i called strictly z before grubbs and they specifically said they didn't have the clip for the accel. as stated above, you could order it from grubbs if you don't get it.... or some other people have cut the one off the old accel pedal (its molded into the back of it) and made it work on the new one.
