Help with dismantling Coupe driver seat..

Hey guys,

I have the driver seat in my coupe out and in my basement..I need some help with removing the seat controls.. I pulled up the leather, but I am not sure how to proceed from here..What I want to do is take the controls out, relocate them and fix up the seat..

Any help!?

Thanks!

Well I have never done it on the G seats, but all seats should be farily similar. I think you may want to remover the back park of the seat from teh butt part. There should be a clip (full length of the seat width on both parts. It's tough to describe but it is basically two plastic lips that interlock keepin the cover on the seat. You could pry those apart. I think once you separate the 2 parts of the seat you may be able to see a lil better ho to go about removeing the leather. Also you might want to call Auto-Mat in Hicksville, NY or an upholstry place near you. They should def be able to at least guide you or give the quickie on how you can remove it. I am sure you have to remove the seat controls when the redo any leather work.

If you get the clips or whatever undone, try running your hand between the foan and the leather. Sometimes there is velcro etc holding the leather or fbaric in place so it doesn't shift.

Do you have the service manual? It has complete instructions on removing the controls. It's worth the $19.

PM me with your email and I will send you the seat page if you like.
