Cellphone: Where?

Cellphone: Where?
Greetings from a new member, and a G35 Coupe owner since Friday!
I love the car, but I'm puzzled about Infiniti's concept for cellphone placement. When I first drove a Coupe I assumed the cubbyhole under the accessory power outlet on the right side of the console was to hold a cellphone. I quickly found that it is too shallow and shaped wrong to hold mine securely. Does anyone know if this place is for a phone, and if so, what kind actually fits? If it isn't for a phone, what is it for? Why would anyone put their phone in the console compartment like the manual suggests? You can't get to it there. Any other tips and tricks for phone storage or mounting would be great.

Re: Cellphone: Where?
I have a Samsung 4600, and I simply took out the removeable ashtray, and I stuck the phone in there. It fits perfect, nice and snug, and I can see the indicator light when the phone is ringing.

Re: Cellphone: Where?
if you look at my pic of my interior (just click my name and check out the rides section) i have like this red "dot" above and to the right of the cup holder. that is a magnetic cell phone holder. it werks the best and when i have the cell phone on it, it looks clean and simple and the charger wire is hardly noticealbe because i have it coming out of the armrest. and i can see all the functions of the fone and the screen to see whose calling. and the best part....i can still open the cup holder without a problem!

Re: Cellphone: Where?
I have napkins in the cup holder for coffee and it acts as a cushion for my cell phone. The cup holder is a great place to put my cell. Flip down the cover if you want it consealed and pop it open when you hear it ring...simple.

Re: Cellphone: Where?
Well i have the T68i Ericsson phone and i have a cell phone holder for it. I bought it at a japanese car place and i attached that holder the left of the clock right above the AC. It works great. My headpiece reaches me fine. I will post pics later on those when i have time.
