Wood dashboard
Wood dashboard
I got my black G35 two weeks ago and i'm loving. I'm thinking about covering some of the G35 cheap plastics with a wood or whatever stick on dashboard kits.
Anyone with experience in doing this? Advises are most welcomed.

DEFINITELY Call Joe at Auto Elegance...800-277-6458.
He's got the most wood pieces (for example, no one else has the AWESOME door handles so far), and the largest color selection. Howard has posted pictures to this site earlier, and I will when I get a couple other pieces I had to have replaced (they accidently gave me two left rear door handles rather than on of the front ones, and they are going to change the pattern to better fit the non-nav cover for the dash). Joe is really helpful and really cares that you like what you get, or he'll help you get something else. I don't have heated seats, so instead of getting the plugs for the hole, he changed the pattern to not include those cut outs for me.
Good luck! Tell him Heather sent you...and I can't wait for my last couple pieces!!
Enjoy!

Re: Wood dashboard
Not hard at all.
All you need is a hair dryer to soften the pieces.
Take your time and make sure you try each piece in the spot before removing the tape. Some pieces are similar, so you don't want to confuse them. Be sure before you apply pressure because it will be hard to get the piece off once on.
It will take 2 to 3 hours.
