You have to figure out what the 8 wires are for. There must be more for a reason...perhaps some are for the dimmer/lighting/etc? I would think there are most likely just the 5 that you really need... I dunno.

When ever i get ready to sell the car all I have to do is get another shifter trim piece ($25), and since I used wire taps I can just pull those and seal the connections with electrical tape, then it is stock again. Anyways I had thought many times about putting where the button where the cig lighter is but it is not very visable there. Also the scuff marks around the button are just places where the original diagram of the whole was erased, and it has not been cleaned up yet.

I couldn't find any room on the left hand side of the wheel to put it, remember this button is much bigger than the s2000 button.

Yup. I just checked the japanese nissan site (it was hell trying to figure out where to go) and the HU is exactly the same as ours. And I also realized how much we got screwed over by Infiniti. THe skyline has enough options to make it way beyond our "not so luxury, but not so sporty either" G... F(_!@#$

like everyone else said. i would've put it on the driver side. That button is not for passengers to push.

but then again stupid infiniti put the volume, temp, and navi joystick on the right.
Ummmm. Can we say "RHD"
I do agree that they should have changed it over to the left side for us LHD USDM...

Could you please tell me where you got the parts and instructions? You can PM me if that is easier.

Thanks!

If you dont have to put the key in still then it is awesome? Do you? If you do there is no point in it.

Great, so then anybody could just start your car at will?

The S2K has this and it requires the key.

isn't there some kind of technology that can sense ur chip from the key to the car so that you can just start it without inserting the key, but then not be able to if u dont have the key in ur pocket or inside the car w/e
