How to clean headliner?

How to clean headliner?

My headliner is all dirty from driving with my windows down a lot !!! Right on the channels of the headliner behind the window. Was curious on how you guys clean yours and what products do you guys use? Thanks in advance !!

Water down some traditional laundry detergent and use a soft detail brush to work up some suds on the trim. You don't want to use anything with any additives, except maybe an oxy cleaner like Madchef suggested. Vacuum dry with your shopvac using the bristle tip GENTLY. You don't want to overwork the fabric and wear it off or pill the surface. You may also use a granular detergent too if you choose, but it will be somewhat abrasive initially unless you let it completely dissolve in the H2O first.

And remove the weather stripping/trim near the area you're cleaning...you don't want an evident line from the trim barrier.

That's always been my touch up solution for small areas like that

***Make sure its something you want to smell for the next couple days!

Thanks for the help guys... ill give it a shot this weekend. Great post by the way kidtronix... great idea on removing the trim... never would of thought of that
