I was wondering if you knew the best way to acquire a set of real Japanese license plates? I have a few friends in Japan right now who would be able to bring me something back to the U.S.

Hmm, I guess I thought it would be easier/cheaper to actually find them in Japan!
Maybe not?

 

its hard to find as you have to turn them in when you get rid of the car or change your plates. and when one gets "missing" then you have to turn the other in and get new ones, which is a pain and expensive. hints why they have those special locks on them most of the time.

 

+1.. special locks in the rear.. they kept the plates on the car when we got it shipped over though
