If you have the right tools, and the 05 and 06 lights then sure you could. But damn I wouldn't try it, useless you are going to paint everything black or grey!

 

NO...the projector housing is in the way.
It goes all the way to the outside of the light bexel. When I had my 06 headlight apart I was going to put a 12" LVF there, but not enough room.
So I just put some leds up the outside of the light bezel (2nd time taking these apart to add the lower projectors & change up some LED's).
See 1st pic, outside top LEFT HID frame & mounting bolt is in the way.
4th pic is w/headlights off & camera flash.
Last pic w/blinkers on...

44 LED's per side, including...
7 White LED's following the outside outline of the top light bezel,
5 White LED's in a gatling-gun grouping mounted in a 2" PIAA Projector
1 25/LED 3156-A25 Amber Turn signal bulb
3 Purple LED's in the HID Projector
1 Purple LED in lower fog light bezel
1 Amber LED in lower fog light bezel(in the 168/194 city light spot)
2 Amber LED's above HID bezel
All White & Purple LED's come on as Parking lamps...

YES to the first question. You will need electroluminecent light aka Flat-lite. It will fit in the space, all you need to do is cut the clearance strip reflector then add the backlight. Look for pictures soon in the lighting section.

That's a lot of bulbs....props on the original idea though.
The Aston Martin DB9s (or is it the Vantage)...well one of them has a similar led light cluster that kind of loops down over the projector housing.
looks good.

 

RugRatCoupe. Where did you get the smaller 2" projector?

Also do you know what other brand or other 2" projectors are out there?

I used PIAA 002 TURBO-L /2" LED Projectors. These are accent Lights I used w/my parking lights. Since they're LED's they don't light up the roadway like a true Halogen or HID Projector does. Can't think of any other 2" Projectors other than the 03-04 350Z's.
I gutted the PIAA TURBO-L's LED's and replaced them w/ Five 6000mcd LED's in a gatling-gun arrangement, much brighter.
