mummm... my 06 comes w/ 5000K already.... (Philips 85122+ D2S)... but compare to my bimmer, (Philips 85122 D2S 4100K)... they r the same... when comparing to my sis's TSX (Philips 85122+ D2S 5000K), it turns out whiter than my G35... I swap bulbs around w/ my sis's TSX, same result, and swap them w/ my bimmer, my bimmer is way much whiter than G35...
So, as a conclusion, for some reason, the G35 projector and reflector (tried both) is the cause of the light to be yellowlish...
If I were u, i'll take the 6000K prolumen (I forgot the exactly name), as you might know, yellow light + blue=white ideally... (hint: those blue bulbs) and will not take the Philips 6000K (85122 WX) as these are blue w/ warm purple colour... I personally have the Prolumen 6000K (supposingly gives off cool blue colour) and they turns out perfectly fine as cool blue light turns out to be white w/ very little blue tint....
Hope this help... cause i learn it in the hard way by buying all those bulbs...
