2005 Headlights vs 2006 Headlights
I'm considering replacing the headlights on my 2005 coupe with the 2006 units with projector lenses. My question relates to the bulbs being used. I just called my dealer and was told that the 2006 uses an HID low beam but a standard 55w high beam bulb. From the literature, I understood that in 2006 both high and low beams were HID. Does anyone know for sure before I spend $1300 bucks on the uipgrade?

$1300 is a rip off. call up chad @ infiniti of riverside, california. hes selling it around 700 plus whatever the shippin cost is. look through ebay or a reputable site n purchase some philips ultinons 6k around 200-220 shipped. everything will cost less than 1 grand including all the other bulbs needed for the 06 headlight ie.fog, daytime running lights, signal .

besides its not so hard to just answer his question...besides...its more annoying to see people complain about noobs asking the same question over.
back to your question now...06 headlights uses d2s bulbs for both high and low beams. there is a plate that opens in the housing to shine more light through when you turn on your high beams.
don't spend $1300...way too much. pm Chad...he'll hook you up.

the time it takes to keep saying do the search is the same time it takes to answer his question.
05 takes D2R
06 takes D2S
both HID bulbs
06 only use the lower part of the light as foglights, high beam is inside the projector bi-xenon.
Harness connector is the same. you can get a set of the lights at about 700 + the cost for the bulbs.
