Feeler: Aftermarket 2006 Style Projector Headlights

Hi, as more and more people offering services to modify the headlights for the G35, I decided I want to take it to the next level.

I would like to know how many of you would buy a set of aftermarket OEM style headlights in Quad Projector form or simply 06 OEM style with Clearance strip included.

If so, how much would you buy a set for.

These will not be handmade but pressed from a mold of the same quality or higher than the OEM mold.

Any input is appreciated.

-completely retrofitted 2006 lights, with quad projectors and painted housing...(you provide all parts) $1300

-completely retrofitted 2005 headlights (i provide headlight) with quad projectors and painted housing, cleared turn signal ($800)

preferrably with a one yr warranty against paint fading/bubbling and condensation

I'd buy a set but if I was getting a non-OEM set I'd have to pay less than the new OEM 2006 projectors.

Hehe parts alone for a high quality quad projector like... lets say a combination of like S2000's, tsx, TL's, LS 430's plus a full set of brand new bulbs and ballast, wiring harness can easily approach up and over $1000

If I was going to do this for sure, I would expect the quality to be higher than that of the OEM 06 projectors, and with more functions such as clearance strip and or quad projectors. How is it that you will expect it to be cheaper?

But thanks for your input, it's what this thread is for. I want to know how many people will actually put in the money to get the mold done and it is not remotely cheap. Therefore the individual unit price will have to be adjusted according to total amount desired.

Also thanks for larry's comment, the reason I seek for the mold to be done is precisely because handmade takes way too long and has little imperfections and quite expansive for people to handle at once. It also is because of the aftermarket units required for perchase.

I need to correct my comment about the price. I DO expect the price to be cheaper than OEM, considering they charge 1400 for a set. So the mark is around 1000 or less depending on total amount of people committed.

my guess is that this is another one of those projects that never gp anywhere. get our hopes up high, but doesn't go anywhere.

to be rich and do well takes some risk. sometimes you need to take the risk, build these lights, than sell them. all the feedback on this forum is nice and dandy, but how many times have you seen people create a list, and when the product comes out, 75% of those who signed up comes up with an excuse on why they didn't buy?

make the damn lights and set a price.

i hate all these "feeler" posts.

haha....how many people would shove out 30K to start a business on his own without asking anyone.

Im making money already, but it seemed like people would rather buy ones already done rather than have theirs worked on. Either way, trying to save people some time and money just doesn't seem logical I guess.
