How to change step light bulb?

I've tried to change the bulb but A. I can barely pull out the case its enclosed in and B. the bulb gets hot as fawk. Help!

Can the little enclosure be pulled out more?

you can take the door panel off

yup, it's a whole lot easier to get to if you take off the door panel first. only takes a couple of minutes to do.

i used a flat head screwdriver to pry them out....

what i did was have someone press and hold in that switch so the step light wont light up. then use a small flathead to gently pry out the plastic cover
