3000K Yellow Hid

Are they legal? I currently have 6000K, but thinking about switching to 3000K since one of my bulbs went out on me.

Don't know about yellow headlights being illegal since all these old cars with bad headlights would be illegal I love yellow fogs and I think I am going to put them in the 06 headlamp I just bought for my 05. As I hear, yellow headlights are better for seeing since it wouldn't ruin your nightvision? That's why if you watch alot of races, most have yellow headlights (although I'm not 100% sure why).

Yellow light cuts through fog and better than the regular 4300K HID's do. the 3000K bulbs will let you see better in bad weather whereas with HID's in the upper Kelvin scale (4300,6000,8000) cause glare and the light reflects back to you.

If you do a search on the internet, you will find that in most states, yellow headlights are illegal. Having yellow fog lights is permitted, but not your primary headlights. I would definitely check with your local authorities just to make sure though.

Yellow fogs are permitted in California only in incliment weather, i.e. fog, rain, etc. It's illegal to have them running in normal weather during day/night time.

With that being said, i run plasma yellow in my 05 housing high beams. They're not really yellow looking right at them, but from the side the color they throw is yellow, as well as the light on the road is yellow. When i throw the hibeams on, it's REALLY yellow. I don't run them on a daily basis. Just when it rains in Socal....... about 1% of the time

I just put 3000K yellow HIDS in my fogs and I love them, but I don't think that they would put off enough light to have them in the head lights. I have trouble seeing some nights when there is no moon. I will post pics soon so you can see themin fogs.
