Blue Overlay light performance?
Blue Overlay light performance?
Hi.. I got CB and I was thinking about replacing the D2Rs and putting a higher kelvin in, but then I saw blue overlays on this forum and on ebay as well. I was wondering what you all think about them? Do any of you have pictures of what the lights would look like with a blue overlay? 40 bucks is a lot better than 200 dollars and installation... thanks
I seriously don;t get people who put overlays on their lights. Why would you want to decrease visibility for the sake of "looking cool". Do you think people actually notice what color your freaking lights are? If they do do you think they think "wow those lights are really blue, cooooOLLLL!"
i would do it for show only. i was thinking about doing this actually. i would have done it if the overlay was a really light blue so that it wouldnt affect the color or light output but since i know it does now im not going to.
maybe some clear overlays though to protect the housing...

That is always possible. A 3 mil vinly would work well for this and you would never know it was there.
