They should have been done long ago, you are right. I did redesign the backside to finish it to look like factory but they sat at my painter for over a month and he did nothing with them. It also doen't help to have a 7yr old and a 3yr old...they tend to consume alot of time.

Would it be to hard to put the reverse lights in the middle of the brake lights on the new gtr? Like this.

Thats the next revision I am presently working on. The main problem, is the circuit board in the center (larger) taillight. The board's opening is off center so I need to modify the board by drilling out as much of the silicon that I can and shifting it down. Also by recessing the lighs, the clearance between the bulb and the exterior lense has to be taken into account. The GT-R lenses are concave. I have most of it worked out but its stalled because I am working on my wide body conversion. Something I am sure that many will hate...but hey, like I care. At least I'm doing something different that may inspire others to try their own mods. You can never have too much creativity.

Wrah,
I know, I have read too many of your posts from other threads . I appreciate all the constructive feedback. It the non-constructive feedback I sometimes take issue with; to each his own.

(from dealer showroom) like skyline GTR. but i never see anyone who will take apart it and modified. please let me know, the final pic is gonna be really good

Looks great - thumbs up for the effort.

Since you're going through so much work, do the outer lights light up with the inner ones...so it would be like the 05/06 Sedan ...TS coupe? Or only during signaling?

i like it! it's different and it'll look really great once painted.

however, i feel that the lens are too deep into the pit. maybe if it was flush with the whole assembly it'll look much cleaner.

it'll look flawless, next to perfect, if you switched the lens sizes the other way around like the r34 and the new gtr (inner smaller, outer larger).

regardless, great mod!

You do feel like something is missing without the backup light, but that might be because we're seeing just the tail light and not the entire rear with the relocated lights.

Either way, A+ on the effort and design. Very nice!

I would agree but due to the actual inner housings and the compound angles and lack of space on the outer light area, that would entire basically throwing out the origional taillights and reconstructing everything. But i agree it would look cool.
