RANT! Cathode strip question

OMG- I just spend close to 2-3 hours trying installing LEDs in my clearance strip. (So I can be cool like all you guys). I ordered 2 blue leds and 2 white for the clear corners, and right when I was putting in my last blue led for clearance, the little **** falls down in the the place. My heart skipped a beat. So I had some extra blue lights from advanced autoparts and it looks like a aqua-blue/green; but i didnt care then- i stuck in it and closed it up.
Now they are very dull looking compared to pictures of Cathode strips that other people had.

My question is, would like a body shop or some place put a strip in or is that gona cost way too much; has anyone done it?

I wouldn't trust anyone but myself to do it. Use my DIY, it isn't that hard. CCFL > Any plug-in LED solution.
