ftw = For The Win

For HID, for looks then be my guess go with 10k or 12K, but there won't be much visibility.

Here's what I don't get. You upgraded from your old headlight to the new '06 headlights because the new projectors provide superior output as compared with the older reflector HIDs. Then, you're going to **** away all that great output by getting 10K or 12K bulbs. I mean it's your car so rock those if you like 'em but I think it's a big waste to spend $700 on new headlights to end up with worse light output than you started with. Just my $.02.

Here's a pic from a recent cruise. You can pick out the one G with 6K bulbs. The Philips Ultinon bulbs look great and provide very usable output.

It actually looks like there are two cars in question, there is a bright Blueish one, then a purple behind it.... Are both 6000K or is the one up front 8000K?

I only see one car that stands out in the picture. However, I think the 8th and 9th cars are both running 6K Ultinons but you can't quite tell because of the distance and angle.

I feel the same way about ultinons

4300k 3200lm
6000k 2400lm
25% loss in output

Not even close, you lose 25% of your output compared to stock based on phillip's own specs

The color on the ultinons is nice, but you do some light output. I think something in the 5k range would be perfect. But, I'll keep my 6k for a while.

I'm this close to getting some of the 06 projector headlights for my 03 coupe. So from what I'm reading, stock bulbs in the 06 projector are brighter than the more expensive after market bulbs???

Thanks,

Les
