TSX Projectors - difference in model years? + Bezels?

Anyone know if there is a difference in a TSX projector between the model years? Is an 04 the same as an 05 and an 06?

Also, anyone know of a place besides ebay to get bezels/shrouds? Was hoping to source some e46 ones.

Pretty sure it's the same for all years.

Actually...

I think the lens in the newer (maybe 06+) TSX projectors have frenseled lenses whereas the older TSX projectors have clear lenses and thus a sharper cutoff.

I heard the samething. I think the samething happened with the E46 projectors, because on mine the center of the lense (about 1 centimeter) is frosted.

Yup. I think Honda was getting alot of crap because the TSX/TL projectors were too potent for other drivers. I'm just waiting for the prices of the TSX projectors to go up now because they don't make the "good" ones anymore.

Eh, OK. I am not as familiar with the TL's as the TSX's, so you are probably right.

Thanks all. Just looked at HIDPLANET.com...they have Bosch projectors for $99 a pair and the pics of the cut off look great.

Anyone try these before?

They're not bad for the price. I made a custom shield for those to give a better cutoff.

If you want, I have the a set from hidplanet, willing to sell for $100 shipped.

Hmm...that's a good deal. But I assume the TSX is a lot better overall? The Bosch ones look a bit empty (meaning there isn't much material substance compared to the TSX and other OEM projectors). In the pics on hidplanet...those cut off pics are super sharp and the pattern is wide.

By the way, since I have your attn...how do you go about doing a "washer mod"? I tried searching...but couldn't find exactly what it is.

You use washers to change the spacing. Play around with what works best for the ones you end up with. Results can be crap or great.

Don't cheap out on those. Spend the little extra and get the TSX or S2000. You will be glad in the long run.

The TSX are not as bright as most people would describe, but they do offer a good wide and sharp beam. The brightness of the E46 is similar, but the cutoff gets blurry at the edges. The center of the cutoff is very sharp, but it then gets blurry. However, I was able to increase the sharpness at the edges with a custom shield.

Thanks everyone for their input...I do like the consistent cut off of the TSX projectors...although the custom shield looks really good too.

But I think I'll go w/ TSX ones..the sharpness across the band is the most appealing to me (my wife's Touraeg's HIDs aren't very sharp on the edges...and it bugs me!)...time to start hunting!

By the way...any good place to source bezels/shrouds besides hidplanet.com? I like the shrouds they have, but also like the e46 (which I can't find). Any suggestions besides ebay?
