I just recently installed some 8000k bulbs in my ride and I've noticed a difference. Some people may have different opinions but, me personally I like the output. When I turn them on they go from a light purple to a nice solid blue. Also check out my thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/lighting/126901-upgraded-light-bulbs.html

No not at all, the fog light is a 6000k h1 kit and the top is a d2s 6000k bulb. I put the fogs in first and it did not match so I went out and got some d2s bulbs.

i got 8000k off ebay and i love them..they r also d2r n d2s so fit both headlights if you have an 05 for example & later decide to swap out for 06+ headlights. I would say tho that getting some fogs and installing an hid kid on it would b a great idea with the 8000's as well on the fogs. im planning on doing this during the spring. But yea i like the 8K but a lot of members tend to got for 6 for better visibility and more appealing look than oem.

I got my 6000k Ultinons from www.suvlights.com

Good site to buy from.

EDIT: Some more input: I actually bought the D2S for my 05 coupe housing. Before any of you say that they don't fit, it was on the recommendation of the owner of suvlights. Why? Read on:

D2S and D2R bulbs are essentially the same. The only differences are the reflectors on the D2R which keep glare down, and the notches on the base. With only a little modification to the base with a dremel, the D2S bulb will fit into the D2R housing. The base is already pre-marked for where the notch goes. The bases are the same because it's more cost effective for Philips.

So in effect, my bulbs will fit in both the 03-05 housings and the new 06 projectors. And since i have the D2S that do not have the reflector, the look of the lights is a little brighter and the housing does a good job of keeping down the glare so it's not noticeable.

Stock is 4300K

You can find good deals on ebay for 5000k which will be a little more white than 4300k. 5000k is the highest you can go without loosing output.
