88-29 I guess everyone loves the 6000k

scientifically...
since 6000k is more white
it has better Luminosity
so 6000k has better output than 8000k.
yes u loose some output with 8000k, when compared to 6000k but theyre still brighter than halogen lights which are perfectly fine to the rest of the world in their cars!!!

...If you have 8000k & have trouble seeing the road, feel your view is limited, restricted or need a fog kit to help you see then you dont need to be driving or maybe get some contacts or glasses because you must be blind. 8000k still lights up the road better than a car with halogen high beams which are really bright, how the h3ll did u see b4 HIDs were out?

yes i chose 8000k over 6000k I like them better + my G is TB so i really wanted 10,000k but didnt want the tickets that will come with them

you will be happy with either one, the output thing is just science.
physically the difference is not that signifigant btwn 6000 & 8000 I have the 6000k in my fogs & never use them, why? I never need them
, Im about to get the 3000k HID for my fogs so my fogs can actually serve a purpose

6k is like dimmer than candlelight LOL

"K'' doesnt stand for thousand like in money

"k" stands for degrees Kelvin like someone mentioned already

the first several shots seem to have a purple glare while the last couple of them have a blue hue. Is this just your camera adjusting to the ambient light? Are you on the 6k or 8k and what is the actual color output?

On an 2003 - 2005 G, the main beams are Halogen I believe. Can these be replaced with HID bulbs with a straight swap or is some conversion required? Is this something to do with using lenses (HID) vs reflectors (Halogen)??

On the G's the Low beam headlight is HID and the foglight/high beam is the halogen. All G's come with the HID already you just replace the bulb. 03-05 have D2r bulbs and the 06-07 are D2s.

I have 6000k in my car and the output is more purple looking then the stock 4300k.

Yes its different because of the way the Camera was adjusting.

i havent read about anybody putting in the 6000k fogs....i remember 5000k. not sure how it would look. You could upgrade to HID fogs for a very expensive price i know that...

having the 6000k in fogs won't improve anything in fog or rain it may actually make visibility worse .......remember brighter light makes it harder to see in fog & rain

I have 6000k in my fogs, my ballast were still good from an accident & the new headlights came with factory 4300k bulb & ballast already so I bought 6000k bulbs &
1st set-up 6000k lows, factory 4300k in fogs
now i have
8000k in lows & 6000k in fogs
not much difference between the 2. 6000k just shines a little brighter

next set-up will be 8000k lows & 2500k or 3000k yellow HIDs in fogs
then i can skate through heavy rain or fog with maximum visibility

So our bulbs in our fogs are H4 then correct?
