Yes, that's what I did. I don't have access to plastic fabrication. I was thinking of cutting out some clear reflector into the right shape and then cementing that in, but I decided to just leave that piece absent.

yes I meant replacing the filter.

A good place to do plastic stuff is "tap plastics". I don't know how much they charge though. I've been to lazy to drive 2 miles away from work to check it out.

E_K hows the headlight look with the filter completely gone? Hows it look at night with the light on?

It looks fine to me. The light now has this large circular pattern when you shine it against a wall. Seems to be brighter, it may cause more glare when I signal, but I don't run around with my signal lights constantly flashing.

The color looks amber, esp when next to 7500K HIDs.

"We haven't seen him post in ages, so locating him to make these things for us is probably not an option."

I seem to recall something happened to Cadillac's G (accident?) and he got kinda turned off his passion for the G and finally moved on to something else. Not sure though.

How did CadillacCarl make that cover to replace his old one? He made it look so professional. It really did look like it could be an OEM part or something.

He actually works at a company that makes plastic parts. He had access to the right industrial equipment for the job.

Damn, that is crazy. Does anyone on the forum have resources like that? I'm sure you could make a lot of money if you wanted to. It would probably be way too expensive to get a company to do this for one individual piece. Maybe we can get some kinda group thing going if someone can figure out where to get it done.
