aftermarket fog bulbs burning out

i'm looking into getting some piaas or silverstars and wondering about their lifespan. i had a 2000 accord and 2003 accord that would keep blowing them out and one actually blow up in my 2000 headlight. eventually it became too expensive and went back to my oem bulbs. is that just a honda thing? i asked the dealer and they said hondas don't like aftermaket bulbs. they're kinda pricey and don't want to keep replacing them on my infiniti. anyone have problems with piaas or silverstars?

I never had any problems with silverstars. I have osram ones in my g now, and had sylvania in my last car, lasted 2 years and were still fine when I sold the car.

I've had siverstars in my truck for over 2 years now and they are still going strong. They lasted much longer then anyother bulbs I've tried. BUT...they are not really white, more of a yellowish color.
