i tried searching for 1 hour last night. i ended up getting some info, and i also found some pics here and there.

basically, i am looking to upgrade my 2006 coupe's projectors to a brighter/whiter light output. in addition to that, what H1 foglights do you recommend for a nice match. i corrently have the stock OEM bulbs for the projectors, and I was running some MTEC x2 H1s (pretty nice imho)

i see several people recommending Philips D2S bulbs, but what xxxxK (output) should i get. i am trying to get real info from people that have had direct experience with this type of thing. ok, thank you.

 

You can't really match, so I didn't even try. Have you thought about a yellow H1 fog?

Stock OEM 4300k <they've burned into a bluer color.
Luminatix*sp yellow fog lights
PIAA "white" LEDS match the projectors well.
Amber chromed bulbs, (making my own LED turn signals)

most people get philips ultinons 6000k. that's what i have. love them. wouldnt go any higher/lower.

 

ok, so how do they compare to OEM (both regular driving and in the rain)?

are they pure white, bluish, or purpleish??

 

mine project a pure white light. others seem to have bluewhite and purplewhite.

maybe i'm just color-blind?

i have fog lights that serve a purpose...and so i use them when i need to. so i can't comment on how well the ultinons would do in the rain/fog but i assume very poorly.
