Clearance T10 bulbs replacement options

I have read a lot of threads about replacing the clearance bulb with a LED bulb. It sounds like this bulb setup burns out often. I don’t want keep replacing them. Has anyone replaced the T10 bulb with a different non-OEM bulb? Thanks for the responses.

Hey hero,
I remember reading that you have vleds.com bulbs. Have you had any problems with them yet? I am assuming that the OEM bulbs are not LED, so upgrading to another non-LED bulb might be worthless. Is this correct? I just don’t want to have to deal with the bulbs burning out every six months due to headlight heat.

correct, oem bulbs are not leds.

not necessarily, but most likely. most people have not been happy with aftermarket non led peanut bulbs.

youre right about leds and heat tho. leds hate heat and cant stand them at all. however, lots of people have had leds in the clearance strip without problems. i dont have the clearance strip myself, so i cant comment on that first hand. but i have the 06 city light, which is also in the headlight...and i put vleds in there and they were fine.

but again, i cant comment on how well they will do in the clearance strip because i have no first hand experience with that.

good luck.

^^^ no it doesn't. 06-07 don't have clearance strips. They have city lights located in the foglight area.
