Re: angel eye headlights

Wow that kit looks awesome in that picture. Could you elaborate on why you think fiber optics are superior to LEDs? More pics and details please!

Re: angel eye headlights

Beisdes the fact that Fiber Optics is a more brilliant light source than LEDs (visible durring the day), a drawback to LEDs is that they burn out and when they do you usually have to dismantle the light, somehow remove the LED, solder in a new diode, and reassemble the entire unit. With Fiber Optics you will never encounter this problem.

Re: angel eye headlights

Justin,
I used to have an IS300 and lurked on the IS300.net for a little while till I got my 6-spd G35C. You getting one as well? For those of you who don't know, Justin has done TONS of angel eye kits for IS300's. Does excellent work.

Re: angel eye headlights

Holy crap that looks sooo nice. Dual projectors is definately wanted in teh Gcoupe world! Plus the blacked out housing looks awesome as well. Any idea if these will be for sale anytime soon? Do you work for a company or did you just do that for a friend?

The only thing I worry about with the G's headlights is hwo they're on top of each other. Having halo's might look awkward as they're not going to be horizontal, like in BMW's.

I recently did a DIY job for my friends Civic of angel eyes. He wanted Red ones(Yes I know they're illegal...I wired up a switch in the car to turn them on and off). Anyway here's what i did:

note: They really are RED RED...My camera is not that great.

here's the method I used:

It's not that bad. Most PITA part is gettign the headlight open, and molding the plastic ring perfectly.

Re: angel eye headlights

Oh and the comment about the LED's burning out...They will last longer than the car, if you have the correct current going to them. I'm all for Fiber optics, though. They're definately much brighter than LED's will ever be.
