My halos use my parking lights as a trigger so I leave them on most of the time when I get out of the car so they stay on for a few minutes.

uh.. you can leave it in any setting.. and the bcm knows to turn off the lights to save your battery... the automatic feature just does it faster.

too bad there is no feature like that for the sunroof if yer G came without a sunroof, you know what i mean

The automatic feature on our cars is mainly to turn the headlights on if it senses low lighting.......all settings will shut off the lights when you exit/shut off your car.
