HID Question
I'm interested to know if I get an aftermarket HID for my fog (H4), can I also get same bulb to replace to the OEM HID low beam while using OEM ballast? Essentially I have the same color....
You want to reword that one? Are you trying to run 2 HID bulbs off of 1 ballast? If so that won't work. If you are trying to run it off of 2 OEM ballasts, yes this will work, but you will have to cut off the ignitor plug and rewire it, because you'll have to used rebased h4 d2r bulbs, which usually come with wires instead of being able to plug the ignitor directly into it

Sorry, let me see if I can re-word to make more sense.
Basically my goal is to have my fog and low beam to have the same matching color. In order to do so, I was planing on getting an aftermarket HID kit (bulb, ballast, and ignitor) for my fog light. While keeping my OEM low beam ballast, can I get the same bulb as the fog light HID kit and run it off my OEM low beam ballast? At the end I have the same matching color except I don't need to purchase two kits.

Philips don't make kits last I know. You might be able to find H4 rebased bulbs and use regular ballasts. But you need to find the actuated ones, so your high beam still works.

you can just get a 4100k H4 for the fog and it'll match the stock headlight. That's what I did. I would recommend you go for the bi-mode (or what ever it's called) I have the single HID kit and the focus is a little off, the fog shines a bit higher then the stock bulb and from what I could tell there is no individual aim adjustment for the fog.

From my research on this board, there isn't a HID kit that has matching color as the stock OEM bulb......
My brother purchased his HID kit from (http://www.xenondepot.com/) the bulb and ballast is phillip made. I thought it was a bit pricy so I thought maybe there is a different source.
