Need VERY specific help with external LED replacements
I needed to know, specifically, what kind of LED bulbs to buy to replace my external bulbs. My basic requirement is that the LED's I use to replace the bulbs are just as bright (or as close to as possible) as the stock bulbs.
I want to replace the following:
1) rear turn signals (want the instant on/off LED's there)
2) rear sidemarkers (just to match the other LED's in the rear cluster)
3) reverse lights (brighter, if possible, but more white, like the license plate to increase rear visibility)
4) license plate light (want to put in bright white like the new Lexus)
5) front sidemarkers (putting in JDM clear corners, so want to match my clearance strip, which is already white, but should I use amber LED's instead?)
6) front turn signals (want instant on/off here like the rear; how do I replace that round orange cover for the turn signal with a white one? Where do I get a white round turn signal cover?)
I can't seem to find specific answers for my questions no matter how many searches I run in the forum. It seems I may be the only one in the dark as to specifically which type of LED's to buy. There seems to be so many out there, that I don't want to go around and around trying to figure out which ones to get. Living in Vancouver, Canada, doesn't seem to help either, as I have to order these off the 'net and don't want this to take weeks on end.
Can anyone help with bulb numbers, please? I need to know which bulb number, from a specific part of the car, to replace with a said LED bulb.
If you can chart it out for me, that would be greatly appreciated. For example:
Part - Stock Bulb - Colour - WebSite - LED Replacement - Colour - Type
================================================== ======
RSidemrkr - 194 - White - superbrightleds.com - WLED-x6 - White - Wedge
Anyone have the know-how to do this for me/others?
Thanks in advance!

You can go to sylvania.com and do a search for all the bulbs necessary for the car. They list them all. There are a couple of sites that offer really good products. I've changed every light on my coupe to LED's and love them. Check out...

both have tons of stuff. I've gone with the white ones in most cases and they last fairly long. Remember to get the bulb color that matches the color of the lens it will be shining through. You will get the most output that way (i.e. red bulb for a red blinker, amber bulb for amber blinker etc.) You have to remember that LEDs have resistors which I don't think do to well with rattling and shaking and they do go out after awhile. The only way to change the blinkers and get passed the hyperflasking in our cars is to get the load resistors and put them in line for every bulb. Easy to do. Hope that helps...

you will not get anything brighter than stock by using led's. even those that have 20-or 30-something led's soldered to one bulb, it will not be brighter. might look cooler at night but not brighter than stock. my reverse lights during the day may be dangerous and i'm running 9 led bulbs in each one. everything else may be bright enough as far as dome, step and license. good luck.
