Headlights
Headlights
Has anyone had their G35 rewired so the headlights turn on whenever the car is started? My dealer said that they have performed this on two other G35s but it takes them at least 3 hours to do so, at $100 per hour.
Re: Headlights
Why not just turn your lights to 'on' and leave it there?
I believe that the built in 'battery saver' cicuit can be re-programmed to turn off the headlights immediately when you turn off the ignition rather than after 5 minutes (present programming).

Re: Headlights
He's saying leave it in the ON position, not AUTO. Even in the ON position, when you get out of the car there is a battery saver option that will turn them off after a while -- I think the default is 4 minutes. But the ECU has options that can be set by the dealership, and I think one of them is to turn the lights off immediately with no delay, hence acting like Auto lights but they'll come on no matter what when you start the car, day or night.
