How to Modify D2R to D2S?
I spent 210 on a set of philips ultinon 6000k for my 04 lights and I don't want it to go to waste. I used them for about 300 hours.
Someone told me to scrape of the U shaped film with a blade. I am afraid that it might cause minor scrapes on the bulb that will affect it later on. Will it?
Then I would also need to renotch the base so that it would be held in the housing. How would I know where to start dremeling? What would be the right measurement?
2nd option is to file it. Any idea on what kind of file?
To make matters worse, I have never used a dremel before.
This is why a DIY sounds good! lol Can anyone make one or know of one. We don't have one here.

Use sand paper then polish the glass a bit. the scratches will be okay. usually its not worth the effort but those bulbs are so expansive i guess its worth doing it. or try selling them to a fellow member
